Hooray, everybody it's ART DAY at home and school!
The whole school is having an arty day to end this half term, before your holiday next week. Today all your activities will be art based.
What's happening today?
Wrap up warm if you are out and about today!
A little bit different today, as your fingers will be busy creating lots of art, lets make sure they are exercised! You might want to practise the moves in this one! Why not challenge someone at home to see if they can do it too.
Mrs Bamford has bought each class a drawing video which will teach you step by step how to create your own pencil drawing. You will recognise the lady on the video because she has worked with you all before to produce the wonderful art work in the Library and our 'Christian Values Plaques' on the junior playground. Her name is Beth from Art base.
She is going to teach you how to create her picture and it follows on really well from our last piece of art thinking about different lines. Today Beth will talk to you about how to use tones, shades and patterns in your picture. All you need is a piece of paper and a pencil.
We are not able to publish the video on the school website so you will need to follow the instructions below to find the video on TEAMS.
Log into Teams and click on your teams symbol on the left hand side.
Select your Year 2 group.
Look along the top, find and click on Files.
You should be able to see a folder called Class Materials. Double click on the folder to open.
You will now be able to see the video file - Fish Pattern Drawing.
Click to open and enjoy working with a professional artist.
If you are still having trouble locating the video please email me.
Please send me a photograph of your completed fish!
There is so much that you can create within art, you can create art out of anything, both inside and out. Follow the link below where you will be able to access our whole school art page where there are lots of things to try from doodles and sketches to chalking and collaging.
Have Fun!

This is a beautiful Chinese story about a boy who discovers a magic paintbrush that brings his paintings alive, a bit like Penny Crayon's magic pencil!
