The Christian life is like a journey with Jesus into the heart of God. Our mission is simply to take the children by the hand and invite them to join us on the journey, working in close partnership with our neighbouring church and vicar, as together we discover our Christian spirituality. We promise also to help nurture those of other faiths and to give a creative space for those of no faith to explore our distinctive beliefs.
Our Christian values underpin our school life and help us to experience and 'live life to the full'.
We have the 4 core values of hope, community, dignity and wisdom in line with the Church of England's role as the established Church.
We explore eighteen values on a rolling 3-year program, with one value per half term. The value is the subject of assemblies and opportunities for the children to discuss and reflect on the value during class assemblies. We also send home notes to support discussion and activities linked to the value at home.
For our children:
All children leave Tanworth as successful learners, confident, self-aware individuals and responsible citizens with the life skills that will support them for the future.
For our staff:
That all staff grow professionally & personally allowing for their individual creativity as part of a supportive & communicative team.
For our community:
To maintain our strong partnerships with church and parents and build upon this with the local and wider communities, and all agencies that support and protect our children.
For our premises:
To maintain and develop our unique premises and grounds, exploring opportunities to ensure that we adapt to support the environment in our ever changing world and that we are equipped with the resources to ensure our children and staff are prepared for life in the modern world.
Our Christian mission, vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens, who are well prepared for life in the modern world.
Our values and vision were approved and adopted on 16/09/21 after a period of consultation with the pupils, teachers, support staff and Governors.
