Today I would like you to create a 6 section story board which retells the story of the lighthouse keeper's lunch.

Remember you will need to choose which 6 parts of the story you think retell the story. You can use my template below or draw your own. I would like some writing and pictures in your story board. Below are some different examples that I have found.

The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch

Mr. Grinling, the lighthouse keeper, finds himself in a titanic battle between good and evil with some ravenous seagulls..

Brain Break

Koo Koo Kanga Roo - Awesome Rainbows

Get up, get moving and have some fun!

Maths

Today I would like you to complete an activity of your choice from your Busy Maths pack or your Maths homework book.

Theme - Music

Today we are going to listen to a piece of music and think about how it makes us feel and what it reminds us of. Listen to the piece of music below.  The music is from an opera and was composed by Benjamin Britten.

  • Did you like the music?
  • What did the music remind you of?
  • What instruments can you hear?
  • What was the mood of the music?
  • What do you think the story of the music was?
  • What might the title of this piece of music be?

I would like you then to draw what you think about when you hear this music.

After you have completed your picture,  click on the link below and watch a short piece of drama that brings the music to life (try to watch the first 2 minutes). On the same page you will also find out the title of this music and see an orchestra perform the piece, you might see some of the instruments that you heard.

LEONARD BERNSTEIN - Britten

Listen carefully to this piece of music. What does it make you think of? What instruments can you hear?
