Please put any work you do in your purple exercise book or take pictures and put them on Tapestry. I can't wait to see what you get up to!
Literacy
Go through your sound mats, saying the sounds as you go.
You can watch my video of me saying the sounds on the resources page if you get stuck.
I will put the sound lesson on Bug Club for you as an optional activity.
Today's sound is 'x'.
On the Bug Club you can find some games to play for the x, w, v and j sounds.
Make sure you are constantly revisiting your tricky words to make sure you know them.
Once you can read all Phase 2 and Phase 3 words, have a go at reading Phase 4 tricky words. Try and memorise one or two words a week.
Today we're going to get started with our topic!
This is a very Literacy based topic and our first story will be Little Red Riding Hood!
If you have a copy of Little Red Riding Hood, then please share the physical book together.
If not, I have some electronic versions for you...

This version has a slightly different ending but I quite like it!

Have a go at telling a grown up or a sibling the order of the story.
What happens at the beginning, middle and end?
You could create a story map to show what happened.
Mathematics
Recap what doubling means from yesterday.
Have a go at the following task.
If you don't have access to a printer you could draw your own or if you have the physical dominos you could use those instead.
Art
Have a go at creating a wolf face.
In the picture they use a paper plate but you could draw around a circle on paper and cut it out instead.
When you are finished, I would like you to pretend you are the wolf and say what the wolf says to Little Red Riding Hood's questions.
"Grandma, what big ears you have!"
"Grandma, what big eyes you have!"
"Grandma, what big teeth you have!"
P.E.
