Spring Term
There are lots of exciting things going on this term for Year 3. Our swimming lessons on Wednesdays started this week, an upcoming school trip, World Book Day, British Science week, Shakespeare week and the wonderful Easter bonnet parade to name just a few things that are taking place! As well as all of this, the class will be starting a brand new topic and I’m sure will produce some more fantastic work this term too!

Whilst we are always focusing on Maths and English this term, we will still be offering the children opportunity to develop their skills in other subjects through our thematic curriculum. We will be learning about the UK and its place in Europe, Europe the continent and the different countries it consists of, Spain, it’s geography and culture and specifically looking at Catalonia.
This term will see the introduction of a new spelling scheme for the school. This scheme is called Scode Spelling. You may notice that there may be some overlap with spellings previously taught this year as we transition to this new scheme. Please see the table below for Spring 1's spelling words.
