Tuesday 12th January 2021

Good morning everybody, I am sorry you couldn't see me yesterday on our afternoon call, my camera stopped working and wouldn't connect! However I was so pleased that so many people put their hand up to share their work and discuss our reasoning problem. I'm glad you could still hear me though, thank you to all those people who shared their learning. Fingers crossed you can see me today!

What's happening today?

Something to make you smile!

Last night when I was uploading all the work onto the class page I had a little helper! Well she wasn't actually very helpful but she was too cute to be cross at!  More PUPDATES soon!

Maths

Following on from our work yesterday, today we are going to continue to practise making totals with money. Be careful that you are applying your maths skills to the area of money, remember that 48 can be made from 40 + 4 + 4 but not when were are using coins because we do not have a 40p coin or a 4p coin. Think carefully!

Tuesday Maths Activity - Set 1, 2, 3 You do not need to do them all!

Challenge Maths

Theme - Art

Today I would like you to get creative with whatever you have at home and I would like you to create a piece of Lighthouse inspired art to link with our book - The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch.

You might like to draw and colour with pencils or felt tips, use paints if you have them, use collage materials and scrap paper or get outside with nature and use natural materials to create your lighthouse picture. We will be using paints at school and hopefully we will be able to show you our finished creations by the end of the week.  Take a look at the picture show below to give you some ideas and have fun! There is also a video for you to watch if you would like to see how to draw a lighthouse.
