Summer Term

Welcome back to school after Easter. I hope you all enjoyed the break and of course, the chocolate! The children have returned full of enthusiasm and are looking forward to finishing our ‘Destination Europe’ topic before starting ‘Roman’s Rule’ in a few weeks time. It was great to see so many parents in the classroom discussing the work the children have been producing in their books during the home learning gallery/parents evening, especially hearing how much fun they have had and how proud they were of what they had achieved. We have lots more fun and learning planned for the Summer Term including a trip to a Roman Museum. Thank you for your continued support and don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any queries or concerns.

Our new topic is:

Whilst we are always focusing on Maths and English this term, we will still be offering the children opportunity to develop their skills in other subjects through our thematic curriculum. Our theme for the Summer Term is ‘Roman’s Rule’. During the course of the term we will be learning about the Roman invasions of Britain, the Roman Army, what the Romans brought to Britain and how the Romans lived. Our studies will also include a visit to Alcester Roman Museum and a chance to explore artefacts and meet a Roman soldier. I know the children will really enjoy the topic.
