Not too many activities to do today to ease you into the week after the weekend.
Literacy
Read the sounds and tricky words on your sound mat.
Today's sound is 'ai'.
The lesson is on the Bug Club for you to complete as an optional activity.

Mathematics
This week we are going to be learning about positional language.
Most children pick this up really quick.
Key Vocabulary

| next to | inbetween |
| to the left of | to the right of |
| above | below |
| underneath | on top of |
Using an everyday object, such as a teddybear, ask your children to complete the above positions.
Please bear in mind the positions will need to be completed using other object(s).
Examples:
"Can you put the teddybear behind the tree."
"Can you put the teddybear inbetween the tree and the fence."
Children tend to get confused with lefts and rights and I'm sure you have your own tricks to remembering them.
I always use the one where you make an 'L' with both hands and the one that is the right way round is the left.
