Please put any work you do in your purple exercise book or take pictures and put them on Tapestry. I can't wait to see what you get up to!

Literacy and Topic

Look at your sound mats and say all the sounds up to and including the 'ear' sound.

Look at the tricky words and say all the tricky words for Phase 2 and Phase 3.

The children are now on Set 11 which is the final set of Phase 3.

Today you will be learning the 'air' sound.

Log into the Bug Club and follow the 'air' lesson.

There are not many children who have accessed the lessons this week so I just want to make sure you know how to find it.

Once logged in, you click on 'My Stuff' and scroll all the way to the end.

If you have issues finding it, please email the office to let me know.

Ask an adult to write 'air' words for you to read.

These words may include: hair, fair, lair, pair

Mathematics

Recap the word 'near' and 'far' and the alternative words you have been discussing.

Choose an activity from below to play and practise distance.

Make sure you encourage the distance language you have been using all week.

1. Water Gun Distance

If you don't have water guns, a spray bottle on the jet mode works too.

2. Cars Down a Ramp/Tube

3. Paper Airplanes

The children are always asking me to make them paper airplanes so I think they would really like this one!

Topic

Focusing on farm animals, play a game where the adult says the adult animal name and you say the baby animal name.

Keep a tally of how many you get right.

Swap over, this time the adult says the baby animal names and you say the adult animal names.

Choose a mask to make and play with.

Use the black and white ones if you want to be creative and paint/colour/collage them.
