Thursday

Please put any work you do in your purple exercise book or take pictures and put them on Tapestry. I can't wait to see what you get up to!

Notices

I have started putting lessons on the page two days in advanced so that you can look what's coming up and prepare for anything if you need.

Please scan over the Working from Home page as there are two new resources for you.

One is a PowerPoint aimed for children but is important for parents as it's too old for the Reception age. Essentially, if you are worried about an individual during current circumstances there is a PowerPoint with guidance on what to do.

Also GOV.UK has released all the websites they recommend for helping with education at home. It's at the top on my resources list for you to view.

Literacy

Go through and say the sounds and tricky words on your sound mat.

Today's sound is 'z' and 'zz'.

Remember 'z' normally goes at the beginning of a word and 'zz' normally goes in the middle or at the end.

Please follow the lesson for 'z' and 'zz' on the Bug Club.

Today I would like you to use your description words to write sentences about the wolf.

Try and use your cursive writing and include tricky words.

Examples might include:

The wolf is bad.

He has pointee (phonetic) ears and sharp teeth.

Mathematics

Recap what doubling means.

Today you are going be doing some problem solving.

Answer the following questions using objects to help you.

Miss Smith has 4 Easter eggs. She asks for double! How many will she have?

Miss Davis bought 2 cushions for her sofa. She now wants double. How many would she have?

Mr Nicholls has 8 footballs. The children found lots of footballs left out at lunch time! Mr Nicholls now has double! How many does he have?

Topic

Today is St. George's Day.

Have a look at the following activities and choose some you would like to do or be creative and think of your own.

Create a shield! Click here to see some examples.

P.E.

Don't forget Mr Nicholls sets activities under the P.E. section on the Class Pages overview.

He also wanted me to remind you to enter your obstacle course entries by sending it to the school office email address. tanworthschool@welearn365.com
