Friday 26th June

Sports Week

For our final day of Sports Week, I'd like to you to think about famous players of the sport. Both men and women play rugby and England has many talented sportspeople.

Look at the PowerPoint (which introduces some of these famous players) and the fact files below:

You might also like to watch an interview with Katy McLean, who was captain of England's women's rugby team in the past.

Today, I'd like you to choose one of the players (or more than one if you'd like) and create a fact file about them. You might like to choose someone from the PowerPoint as there is more information about them or you might like to carry out research of your own about someone else. I'd also like you to draw, colour or paint a portrait of your chosen player.

Remember to send your work in via the  blog and email to contribute to our Sports Week display in school!

Maths

It's Flashback Friday again so I've prepared some questions to help you revise the four operations - addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. It's important that you go into Year 6 feeling as confident as possible about this so try your best! Remember, you can ask me any questions or for help on the blog.

Just For Fun

Today, I'd like you to have a go at designing your own rugby ball!

Use bright colours and interesting designs and enjoy!
