School Council

Hello from our School Council!

We are a team of twelve children, from years 1 to 6, who regularly get together to discuss ways of improving our school and the experience children have here.

Every child will be aware of who their School Councillors are and can approach them at anytime with any concerns they may have or any ideas they might have to raise money or awareness for different causes.

We are the School Council 2021-2022 after being voted by our peers.

Year 6: Hollie and Fin

Year 5: Toby and Connie W

Year 4: Evie and Ollie

Year 3: Grace B and Franklin

Year 2: Veeran and Lola

Year 1: Jack and Grace

The School Council are now up and running and had their first meeting on Wednesday 29th September 2021.

Worry Monsters

Worry monsters are now in each classroom. If your child has any worries they are encouraged to write them down (on the slips provided next to their worry monster) and post it into the worry monster's mouth. The class teacher will monitor the monster and speak with your child to try and help them with their worries.

These are the winning designs for the Worry Monsters.

Mental Health

In coordination with 'Mental Health Week' our School Council wanted to do something to help those children who may suffer from anxiety.

They came up with the great idea of making a worry monster for each classroom, which allows children to write their worries on a piece of paper and then post it into the monster to take their worries away.

So, the children ran a competition to design the best worry monster and a monster was chosen for each year group's classroom.

Please see above the winning monsters!
