Literacy and Topic

Look at your sound mats and say all the sounds up to and including the 'ur' sound.

Look at the tricky words and say all the tricky words for Phase 2 and Phase 3.

Today you will be learning the 'ow' sound.

Log into the Bug Club and follow the 'ow' lesson.

There were not many children who accessed the lesson yesterday so I just want to make sure you know how to find it.

Once logged in, you click on 'My Stuff' and scroll all the way to the end.

Recap the word 'near' and 'far' and discuss alternative words like 'close' and 'further'.

Playing with your toys or different toys from yesterday, talk about their distance but compare them to one another.

For example: we are not saying the item is 'near' or 'far' like yesterday. We are now saying 'the red ball roller further than the yellow' or 'the blue ball is the nearest' or 'the yellow ball is closer than the red ball'.
