Recap Meerkat Mail from yesterday, watch the video of the story again.

Create a story road map by drawing pictures of key parts of the story along the road in order.

Remember to do the beginning, all the places Sunny went to and the ending.

See image below for an idea.

Maths

We are going to move onto learning about addition.

Look at the tens frames below to finish the number story.

Try completing the next one.

We haven't done bar models before.

Each part of the bar represents a number.

The big part represents 13 and has been written in for you.

The smaller parts represent 1.

You need to add all the parts together to get the answer.

Because the smaller parts represent 1, you can just count on from 13 to find the total.

Now try using a number line.

Below is an example of how to show adding on a number line.

Pretend your pencil is a frog jumping from one number to the next.

Jump one number at a time until you have added the amount you need.

The number you land on is the answer.

Jigsaw

In our classroom I want to create an area called 'Our Garden of Dreams and Goals'.

I'd like your help to decorate it!

Use the template below or draw your own and design a welly.

You can use any materials but it needs to be colourful!
