We had the best time at the RAF museum in Cosford last week. We got to see all the real-life air crafts used in the different wars. We were amazed at how big some of them were and similarly, how small some of them were.
We had the pleasure of hearing stories from a lady who worked at Bletchley Park during WWII. Her role was to deliver coded messages to decoders for them to decode and work out what the Axis were planning.
Mrs Charlotte Webb amazed us with her stories, pictures and detailed answers to our questions. We really enjoyed our afternoon going back in time with Mrs Webb. Thanks again to The Laurence family for organising the visit.
The skills we focus on in Autumn term are: sketching and water colours.
In class six we compared pictures of the village from as far back as medieval times and noticed that the war memorial did not appear in photographs until after a 1916. We researched why and wanted to study the life of a soldier in WW1.
