Thursday

So, yesterday was Teacher Appreciation Day.  Throughout the day I received lots of wonderful emails from yourselves, including a lovely little picture that is now pride of place on my fridge. I'm not ashamed to say you brought a tear to my eye.  Thank you so much for the kind words, they truly do mean the world to me, especially at a time where there is so much negativity about the profession in the news and on social media.  I am so proud to be able to call myself your teacher. smiley

Some of you have video calls with myself and a special guest, remember we are playing charades so get practising the action you've been given.  I'd like you to think of an animal action for myself and our guest to perform as well.  I look forward to seeing you in a bit!

Now onto your work! Just because I was a bit soppy at the top of the page doesn't mean you get away without doing any work!

English: Do you remember acting out/retelling the original story of 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'?  Well, today I'd like you to do that again but I'd like you to introduce the character of Nibbles!  Use your plan from yesterday to help you.  I'd love to see any videos of your retellings and find out what Nibbles is going to do in your version of the story!

The documents below are the stick puppets that you can make again (if you haven't got the ones from before), do you think you can make one for Nibbles too?

Maths: So we're continuing division by grouping today.  Take a look at the example pictures below and watch my demonstration video to find out how to work out the answers.

Now have a go at some of these:

Topic: We have been learning about animals as part of our topic, today I would like you to listen to this minibest song and have a go at these activities.

' If I Were A Minibeast '

Whilst I was in school yesterday, myself and the key worker children made bee hotels, this helps provide homes for bees.  Bees are really important because they pollinate flowers, you could make your own bee hotel to help increase the bee population in your garden or you could make a butterfly feeder!  Talk about it with your adult, there are lots of guides and demonstrations on Pinterest.
