Don't forget there are some learning packs that you can pick up from school from today, from the top car park. You will find your maths homework books in them, some new reading books and an English and Maths busy pack. These packs can be used for when you would like some extra Year 2 activities. Sometimes one of the daily class page activities might be to complete the next page in your homework book or to choose an activity from your busy packs.
Following on from our Teams meeting this morning, when we were thinking about adjectives and descriptions, today I would like you to think about some adjectives that you could use to describe these characters below.
Think back to our work on Six Dinner Sid when we thought of adjectives to describe what he looked like and his character. Can you think about what our characters look like today as well as their personality. You might like to click back to yesterdays' page and listen to the story again. Or if you click the link below you can read it for yourself!
Who do you think these adjectives and descriptions describe?
useful grumpy great baker cross loves the sea pesky
mischievous varmint round face great baker clever
Do you know what the word varmint means?
It means an animal that is thought of as a pest e.g. a rat, pigeon, seagull, cockroach
TASK = Make a list of adjectives and phrases that describe the characters today. There is no limit to the amount needed but you will be using these next week so try to get at least 5 for each character. Remember you can describe their appearance too!
You can choose how to present your work - list, table, draw and present your words around or you can use my template from the link above!

Below there is a link to a set of games that I would like you to play today. There are 3 different types of games that will help you to practise your sorting, ordering and counting skills within the area of money!
This game today will help you set your own level of challenge because you can select the number or coins your play with or the range of value. Set your own level, if you get them all correct try and challenge yourself and change the settings! Good Luck and enjoy.
Yesterday it was sooooo cold, it was minus 6 degrees when I drove to school. The school grounds were beautiful and it looked like a winter wonderland here, really foggy, icy and crisp!
Today I would like you to go into your garden or go on a winter walk to spot the signs of winter. Can you see where Jack Frost has been?
