Following our public consultation on admission arrangements, the Governing Board of our school has decided to remove attendance at church as a criterion from our admission policies from September 2026. We had 3 responses to the consultation which were carefully considered by Governors. The governors decided that the changes proposed in the consultation should be adopted.
The governors wish to reassure the school community that removing church attendance criteria from the admission process is entirely separate from, and does not change, the Christian foundation and ethos of the school. Our mission statement: ‘In God's family learning, loving, growing to be our very best’ based on John 10:10, and our stated Christian values, will continue to underpin school life at Tanworth.
