Tanworth Nursery have taken part in the free activity box loan service to help teach fire safety.
This free, fun activity box is aimed at teaching nursery and pre-school age children fire safety.
Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service offer the Big Red Activity boxes on loan to early years settings across the county giving them free access to a range of age-appropriate resources that will help them to teach young children basic fire safety messages.
The contents of the box includes firefighters tunics, helmets, torches and toy fire extinguishers as well as jigsaws, a Fireman Sam video, lots of exciting stories, information books and fun activities. There is also an added activity to encourage healthy eating using firefighters as role models.
Parents will also receive safety information on how to keep their children safe at home and have the opportunity to request a Safe and Well check on their property.
Thank you to the 4 parents that attended the Parent Focus Group this morning. Even though we were only a small group, between you almost all of the year groups were represented. This morning topics discussed included spellings, class size, snack, PTA events, homework, parent workshops and car parking. A copy of the minutes can be found on the Parent Focus Group page.
The next meeting is on Monday 24th February at 9.00am.
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are taking part in the 'Aldi's Kit for Schools' campaign.
When you spend £30 in Aldi you will receive a special Team GB sticker. When we have collected 300 stickers we will receive an exclusive school sports kit and we could also win one of twenty £20,000 prizes!
Please send any stickers into school so that we can complete the poster before the deadline of 18th November. Remember to ask your family members, friends and colleagues to also collect the stickers to help us be in with a chance of winning £20,000.
Thank you for your continued support

Friday 28th June 2019 is Tanworth Sports Day. This year we have altered the way Sports Day will run. In the morning KS1 and Nursery will compete in 4 different activities (2 on the Infant field and 2 on the Junior field). Parents will be invited to move between the two fields to watch their children compete. In the afternoon KS2 will follow the same format as the morning.
All parents are invited to join their children for a picnic lunch between 11.45 and 12.45. Parents need to sign their child out from their classroom at 11.45 and sign them back in at 12.45. The PTA will be selling strawberries and Pimms during lunch time. There will also be the chance to bid on the Auction of Promises.
I do hope you can join us.
