Year 4 Homework Expectations

Homework will be posted here each week, reflecting the learning that has taken place in class. It may focus on core subjects (such as maths, writing, and spelling) or non-core areas (such as geography, history, or computing), depending on the children’s learning needs that week.

Most tasks are optional; however, we encourage pupils to complete them where possible, as they provide valuable extra practice. Times tables work, however, is compulsory and will be monitored weekly. This is particularly important in Year 4, as the Multiplication Tables Check takes place in June, and regular practice will help pupils feel confident and well prepared.

Thank you for your continued support. Any homework questions, please let me know. I am happy to go through any questions with your children if they bring them into school to work through 

Please note - it is not an expectation that all homework is complete. Please do not spend hours if you are struggling! 10-15 minutes on each piece is plenty
