Monday

Good morning children, I hope you had a lovely weekend!

This week I'm going to be working with the keyworkers' children so please bear with me if I'm taking longer than usual to reply to Tapestry and emails. I will try and respond the same day at some point.

I'm looking forward to seeing your lovely smiles today on the live lessons.

Timetable:

9:20 / 9:35 Morning Live Lesson

1:45 / 2:00 Afternoon Feedback Session

Phonics

You will need a piece of paper/notebook/whiteboard and something to write with.

Activity 1: Speedy Sounds

Activity 2: Read Words (PowerPoint)

Activity 3: Choose three words from the PowerPoint and write a sentence for each one. Try and include some tricky words too.

English

Complete the other half of your story board from Friday.

Maths

Look for 3D shapes around your home.

Look at the faces of 3D shapes and identify what 2D shape they are. For example, a Pringles tube is a cylinder and has 2 faces that are circles on each end.

Use your 3D objects as stencils to draw around the faces and draw as many 2D shapes as you can find.

Science

Please start recording the weather this week.

It doesn't matter what time of day you do it but try and do it at the same time every day. For example, if you choose to do it at 10:00am try and do it at 10.00am every day.

Please see below for a document you can fill in but if you don't have a printer you make your own.

You will need to record:

1. The weather - is it rainy, sunny, cloudy etc... draw a picture of what you see.

2. The rainfall - put your rain water collector (that you made on Friday) out today and fill in today's box when you read the number it is up to tomorrow and repeat this all week, so you won't actually finish your weather recording activity until Saturday when you read the rainfall number for Friday.

3. Temperature - only if you have a thermometer. If you don't, please don't worry, you can leave this step.
