ADMISSION POLICY 2024-2025 CONSULTATION OUTCOME

 

The consultation has now been completed, that governors have carefully considered all comments received about the admissions policy and have decided that the policy will be determined, without changes, as it was set out in draft for the consultation.

We know that school admissions can prove stressful for parents and families and so we take and honest and transparent approach to the experience. Whilst we are committed to providing opportunities to all to experience life at our wonderful school, places are naturally limited, and therefore we are duty bound to operate an admissions policy. Applying for a place

To apply for a place at Tanworth School please visit the Warwickshire County Council website (link below)

Please note, Warwickshire County Council manage all aspects of the admissions process against the criteria as laid down in our Admissions Policy. All correspondence regarding application for admissions will therefore be between Warwickshire County Council and the applying family, this includes notification of decision, offers and waiting lists.

​Please note: It is essential that during your application process that you disclose all relevant information to Warwickshire County Council to support your application criteria and provide any supporting documentary evidence to the School Office in advance of your application submission.

Criteria judgement will be made on the basis of submitted information only.

Admission Appeals

If you are informed by Warwickshire County Council that you have not been successful with your application for a reception place in 2024 and you wish to appeal the decision then please contact the school office in the first instance to inform them of your decision. In order to progress your appeal for a reception place in 2024, please submit a completed version of the Revised Appeal Form Feb 2020 below for the attention of Mrs Samantha Joseph, Chair of the Governing Body, to the school email address tanworthschool@welearn365.com

National Primary Offer Day 

 

16 April 2024

Deadline for lodging appeals

 

14 May 2024

Appeals received by 14 May 2024

 

will be heard in June and July 2024 (and by 17 July 2024)

 

Appeals received after 14 May 2024

(late appeals)

will be heard in June and July 2024 where practicable, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged (whichever is later), where practicable. 

 

Please note that it may not be possible to hear late appeals before the start of the new school year in September 2024.

Appeals are not heard during school holidays.

ADMISSION POLICY CONSULATATION STARTED WEDNESDAY 30th NOVEMBER 2022 UNTIL MIDDAY WEDNESDAY 11th JANUARY 2023

 

Tanworth-in-Arden CofE Primary School has published its proposed Admissions Policy for 2024 entry; a copy of which can be viewed below.

 

In accordance with the Admissions Code, we have initiated a consultation period which will run from Wednesday 30th  November 2022 to Wednesday 11 January 2023.  

Should you wish to comment, please write to Victoria Ganderton, Clerk to the Governors, at the school address. 

Please note, the deadline for receipt of comments is midday on Wednesday 10 January 2023.
