Tanworth-In-Arden CofE Primary is bidding for a cash boost from the Tesco Stronger Starts scheme.

Stronger Starts provides grant awards of up to £1,500 to local community projects, with a particular focus on children and young people.

Three groups in every community have been shortlisted to receive grant awards and Tesco customers can vote for the group they think should take away the top award in their local Tesco store.

Tanworth-in-Arden CofE Primary School is one of the groups on the shortlist in this area.

We would like to install Trim Trails for our playground for children to use at breaktimes to promote physical activity.

  • Happy New Year

    Fri 13 Jan 2023 S.Bamford

Happy New Year to you all. It's hard to believe we are already at the end of the second week of the new term. The children have all returned to school ready for learning and have all made a great start. It has been lovely walking around the classrooms hearing of the new themes and seeing the children so engaged, long may it continue.

Next week we are having a visit from the Mental Heath School Team on Tuesday 17th January. MHST will be in school to meet parents, answer any questions and signpost for support. Please pop along between 9am and 9,30am to have a coffee and a chat.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend.

  • WE ARE A GOOD SCHOOL, IT'S OFFICIAL!

    Thu 03 Nov 2022 S.Bamford

For the last three years the whole Tanworth family have worked together to improve the areas for development, whilst also maintaining the good practice that was highlighted since our last inspection back in February 2019.

On September 21st and 22nd we were able to demonstrate the progress we had made. The Ofsted inspection was thorough, robust and professionally rigorous. The leadership team and I were open and transparent around all aspects of school life and had much evidence to support the inspection process.
Amongst many positives the inspectors identified that:

    • Pupils are happy and safe
    • The curriculum meets the personal and academic needs which is ambitious
    • Subject leaders make sure that teachers present new learning well
    • Teachers have high expectations of pupils and address misconceptions quickly
    • Children settle well into the early years and staff have high expectations and establish clear routines
    • Governors and senior members of Arden Forest MAT have an accurate understanding of the school’s strengths and priorities for improvement

We are all really pleased with the outcome and the recognition of the hardwork that all the team have shown in making Tanworth a 'good' school!
