I have great pleasure in introducing you to our primary school and nursery. We are a nurturing, caring and friendly school where children can enjoy a curriculum packed full of exciting learning opportunities to help experience 'life in all it's fullness'. We support the children in developing not only their academic skills but also their creative skills and personal and social skills.
In September 2022 we received a 'Good' from OFSTED. Some of the hi-lights from the report include:
- Pupils are happy and safe.
- The curriculum meets the personal and academic needs which is ambitious.
- Subject leaders make sure that teachers present new learning well.
- Teachers have high expectations of pupils and address misconceptions quickly.
- Children settle well into the early years and staff have high expectations and establish clear routines.
- Governors and senior members of Arden Forest MAT have an accurate understanding of the school’s strengths and priorities for improvement.
Since our successful Ofsted inspection in September 2022, we have continued to build on our strengths and make significant progress across all areas of school life. Working closely with our staff, governors, Arden Forest C of E Multi Academy Trust and wider community, we remain fully committed to providing the very best educational experience for every child.
Over the last few years, we have further strengthened our curriculum, enhanced our provision for inclusion and SEND, expanded enrichment opportunities, and continued to develop our nurturing school environment. We are particularly proud of the many opportunities children enjoy beyond the classroom, helping them to flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
We believe in being open and transparent about our improvement journey. To help parents and visitors understand the progress we have made and our future direction, we have included our latest school improvement presentation. This outlines the significant achievements of the 2025-26 academic year and sets out our priorities for 2026-27 as we continue to strive for excellence.

We are all extremely proud of our school and nursery and we believe that the quality of the relationships and the high level of care that exists between all members of our school community is the key to our success.
This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community. However, only through visiting Tanworth, speaking to our wonderful children and the dedicated staff, will you truly appreciate the uniqueness of our school and it's surroundings.
